Mirror Isles · Creator’s Room 20

Two mirrors, a purple crystal and an eastern exit

Match the two northern mirrors, the purple crystal on the southwest bend and the eastern gold circle. The crystal is an object, distinct from the character and the pale reflection.

Two mirrors and the character start on a northern island. A pushable purple crystal stands on a long southwest island, and a separate small eastern island holds the gold circle.

Hint 1What to notice

The purple object can be pushed. First arrange the mirrors so the character can reach its island.

Hint 2What to set up

The crystal needs a position at the southwest island’s northern edge before the mirrors can send it across.

Hint 3The decisive move

After the crystal reaches the eastern island, move the front-facing mirror again. The object’s transfer and the character’s transfer use different mirror positions.

  1. Reach the crystal’s island

On the northern island, call the dark-backed mirror the back mirror and the other one the front mirror. Push the back mirror south to the northern island’s southwest edge. Move the front mirror west and south, leaving it beside the back mirror on its east side. Use the southward light to transfer onto the long southwest island.

  2. Push the crystal to the northern edge

Stand south of the purple crystal and push it north to the southwest island’s upper edge. Walk east along that island to the northward light, then use the mirror interaction to return to the northern island.

  3. Transfer the crystal first

Move the front mirror north to clear its former position. From its east side, push it west until it is directly above the back mirror, putting both mirrors in the same column. The light now links the crystal’s position to the small eastern island. Use the mirror interaction to transfer the crystal there; the recording shows the solid purple object on the eastern island’s northern edge.

The crystal has transferred to the eastern island while the character remains on the northern island; the front mirror still needs another westward move.

  4. Change the mirrors for the character

The character is still on the northern island. Move the front mirror west again, to the northwest side of the back mirror. Walk to the northern tip of the island and stand in the northward light. With the reflected landing on the eastern island, use the mirror interaction to transfer the character there.

  5. Reach the circle

Leave the crystal where it arrived and walk south onto the gold circle. The recording shows the white completion transition at about 16:02. The world-map movement after that is outside this room’s solution.

The character now transfers onto the eastern island; the purple crystal already arrived there in the previous mirror arrangement.

Check your result

Both the purple crystal and the actual character have reached the eastern island. The character then walks south onto the gold circle. Moving only a reflection, or transferring only the crystal, is an intermediate state.

If your attempt went wrong

If only the crystal reaches the exit island, move the front mirror west once more and use the northern island’s upper light for the character. If the crystal does not transfer, check its position at the southwest island’s northern edge and the two mirrors’ shared column first.
