Mirror Isles · Creator’s Room 12

Snow, a gold rock and the northwest green circle

Compare the snowy three-island layout, the green-backed mirror and the gold rock. The target is the green circle on the small northwest island.

Three snowy islands: the character starts southwest; a gold rock and tall green-backed mirror are on the larger eastern island; a green circle sits on the small, separate northwest island.

Hint 1What to notice

Watch the rock’s pale reflection separately from the character’s reflection. The rock can change islands before the character follows it.

Hint 2What to set up

The mirror needs two positions: first a landing at the eastern island’s north end, then a landing on the southwest shore.

Hint 3The decisive move

Relocate the rock onto the southwest island and transfer the character there separately. The final push sends the rock north into the gap below the green-circle island.

  1. Transfer onto the eastern island

On the southwest starting island, stand on the horizontal light towards the west half. When the pale character is safely on the eastern island’s north end, use the mirror interaction to transfer there.

  2. Relocate the gold rock to the north end

Go around to the mirror’s southeast or east side and move it north and west on the eastern island. Stop when the gold rock’s pale landing is on that island’s northern end. Use the mirror interaction on the rock: it becomes solid at the north end, leaving its pale former position on the western ledge.

The mirror has moved north and west so the gold rock’s pale landing is on the eastern island’s north end.

  3. Change the mirror and relocate the rock southwest

Move the mirror south while keeping its westward offset from the original position. It finishes on the lower eastern island, one visible column west of the original eastern-edge position. Check that the north rock’s pale landing is on the southwest island’s right edge. Stand beside the rock and use the mirror interaction to relocate it there. The character stays on the eastern island during this operation.

The gold rock is solid on the southwest shore while the character remains on the eastern island; the character’s own transfer comes next.

  4. Transfer the character to the southwest shore

Return to the eastern island’s north end and stand on the vertical light. Check the pale character landing on the southwest island’s right edge, just east of the relocated rock. Use the mirror interaction to transfer the character there too.

  5. Bridge the northwest target island

Go around to the gold rock’s south side. Push it north off the southwest island into the water gap below the northwest target island. Walk north over the resulting flat stone to the green circle. The recording shows the approach to the circle, then the completion wash.

The gold rock is now flat in the northern gap, and the character walks across it onto the small green-circle island.

Check your result

The first two gold-rock relocations happen through the mirror. Only the last northward push turns it into a flat bridge below the northwest target island. The character then walks across to the green circle.

If your attempt went wrong

If the rock lands somewhere else, compare the pale rock landing before interacting. If the rock is southwest but the character remains east, keep the final mirror position and transfer the character separately to the shore just east of the rock. Do not push the rock into water before those two relocations.
