Two pads and a stone to take along

Align the pads for the crossing, then carry a stone into the next board.

An orange horseshoe surrounds two diagonally offset lily pads. Two stones start on the upper-left approach, and the checkpoint is at the lower-left bend.

Stop after any hint. The complete route and later-state picture remain hidden below.

Hint 1What to notice

Finishing this board is not just about getting the sailor across. One stone has another job beyond the right edge.

Hint 2What to set up

Each pad needs a downward nudge. Set them beside one another across the current rather than chasing either one alone.

Hint 3The decisive move

The left stone shifts the left pad; the other stone shifts the right pad. After crossing, use the stone on the right bank as your travelling stone.

  1. Align the lily pads

Push the left stone right twice to send the left pad downward. Move the other stone left and then down to move the right pad down too.

  2. Cross and collect the checkpoint

Use the paired pads to reach the lower orange route. Follow the land to the checkpoint.

  3. Export the spare stone

On the right side, push the stone down across the water, then right four times into the next board. Keep this transfer: the next route uses the extra stone.

Check your result

The checkpoint is reached and the right-side stone has been sent east.

If your attempt went wrong

If the next board seems one stone short, return to this board and check the eastern stone transfer before rebuilding the lily-pad crossing.
