Two-sailor notation

A = the original sailor from Level 1. B = the companion introduced in Level 2. Left, right, up and down refer to the pictured board.

Choose how much help you want

Stop after any hint. The complete route and later-state picture remain hidden below.

Hint 1What to notice

Both sailors need transport, but only one stone needs to move.

Hint 2What to set up

Send the lower stone to the upper sailor before aiming at the pads.

Hint 3The decisive move

The upper sailor throws right through the water. Board the upper and lower currents separately.

  1. Keep the roles straight

A is the original sailor from Level 1, on the upper bank. B is the companion on the lower bank.

  2. Pass the stone up

B moves the stone four tiles left and pushes up to A. A moves it left, up and all the way right towards the wooden jetty.

  3. Release the pads

Push right through the water beside the pads. Their new paths lead into the two separate currents.

  4. Leave on separate routes

A boards the upper current’s pad; B boards the lower one. Both routes lead to the next pair of islands.

The two sailors leave from opposite banks on separate pads.

Check your result

Each sailor has left on a different current. Do not try to put both passengers onto the same pad.

If your attempt went wrong

If a pad leaves without its passenger, undo the launch and place both sailors near their boarding edges before repeating it.
