Rock footholds on opposite islands

Sink the red rocks into useful adjacent footholds before moving the round stones.

Two small diagonal islands, each with two red rocks. A wooden jetty and a round stone sit to the upper left; the lower island has a short downward jetty.

Stop after any hint. The complete route and later-state picture remain hidden below.

Hint 1What to notice

The red rocks and round throwing stones do different jobs. Arrange the rocks first.

Hint 2What to set up

A needs two submerged rocks below the upper island; B needs a pair above the lower island.

Hint 3The decisive move

Stand on the new rock footholds to change the stone’s row. That gives the sideways throw that sends the pad down.

  1. Extend A’s island

A pushes the right red rock right and down three into the water. Push the other rock right twice and down three so it sits immediately left of the first. Stand on the right submerged rock.

  2. Extend B’s island

B pushes the upper red rock up twice into the water, then puts the other rock directly above it. Stand on the second submerged rock.

  3. Launch B’s pad

A sends the round stone right across the water. B moves it down to one row above the pad and throws left, sending the pad down. Board quickly.

  4. Launch A’s pad

A uses the round stone at the upper-left jetty: push left to move the other pad down, then board.

Check your result

The rocks create two-step footholds, not a full bridge between islands. Both pads move down when their throws land.

If your attempt went wrong

If the sideways throw is inaccessible, inspect the rock arrangement before touching the pads. A misplaced rock removes the standing position needed for the stone.
