Six red rocks in two rows

Create a two-row platform in the water so B can redirect A’s stone downward.

Six red rocks stand in two columns on the right island, next to crates and a turning current. A long wooden dock runs down the left side.

Two-sailor notation

A = the original sailor from Level 1. B = the companion introduced in Level 2. Left, right, up and down refer to the pictured board.

Stop after any hint. The complete route and later-state picture remain hidden below.

Hint 1What to notice

There is enough rock for a small platform, not a bridge across the whole channel.

Hint 2What to set up

Make a row of three extending left from the island, then put another row directly above it.

Hint 3The decisive move

A’s throw stops at the lower-left corner of that platform. B can then push it down towards the paired pads.

  1. Build the lower row

B pushes the top-left rock two tiles left into the water. Move the top-right rock five left, beside it. Move the middle-left rock left, up and three left to extend the line to three rocks.

  2. Add the upper row

Use the three remaining rocks to make another horizontal row of three directly above the first. Preserve the two-row rectangle so B can walk around the arriving stone.

  3. Receive and turn

A sends the round stone right across the water. It stops at the lower-left submerged rock. B stands above it and pushes down.

  4. Board opposite departures

The two pads move away to the left and right. A and B board from their respective docks and ride to the final board.

Check your result

The six rocks make two parallel rows of three. B has access above the received stone for the downward push.

If your attempt went wrong

A single row of six does not supply the turning space. Undo the rock placements into the intended rectangle before launching the round stone.
